Our journey began in July 2018 with a simple yet meaningful vision: to create a place where children feel safe, nurtured, and truly at home. Our first Gingerbread Kindergarten opened in Bondi Junction, built on a foundation of care, community, and a deep respect for children as capable, curious learners.
From the very beginning, families embraced what we set out to create. The laughter echoing through our rooms, the genuine connections forming each day, and the joy of learning quickly showed us that Gingerbread was becoming something truly special. Our Bondi Junction centre grew into more than an early learning service—it became a trusted and valued part of the local community.
Encouraged by this support, we expanded and opened our second centre in Castle Hill. Once again, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Families from diverse backgrounds came together, forming meaningful relationships that extended well beyond our gates. Children flourished, friendships grew, and Gingerbread became a true extension of home.
Now, after five incredible years of growing alongside our Castle Hill community, we are excited to begin our next chapter. In late 2027, we will open a brand-new Gingerbread centre in Norwest, bringing our nurturing, heart-led approach to even more children and families.
While we continue to grow, our purpose remains unchanged: to create beautiful, inspiring environments where children feel seen, heard, and valued—where play is honoured, and where a strong sense of community is at the heart of everything we do.
